Barbour Lets Some Color In

If there’s one complaint we have about Barbour—and really, it’s just nitpicking—it’s that the colorways are just so, well, drab. While we get that tromping through the sodden English countryside doesn’t exactly inspire the cheeriest of hues, all those olives, browns, and blacks could stand to lighten up a bit. Seems that Barbour now agrees, as the new Ashby proves. Modeled after the classic Bedale, the Ashby is downright dandyish (by waxed jacket standards, that is) in a sky blue, dark red—and for those not ready for the deep end just yet—charcoal, and a mid-range shade of olive. Retailing for $379, they’re just the right punch of color for the gloomiest of days.
