Weekend Plans

Justin Riservato

Our weekly series highlighting what our culturally savvy co-workers do when they're off the clock.

One of the best things about working at Gilt? Stumptown coffee! Even better? The level of talent that surrounds you. From software engineers to stylists, virtually everyone here isn’t just great at what they do, they’re also incredibly plugged in to what’s going on outside the office. In our ongoing series designed to tap into that knowledge base, here’s what’s on the weekend docket of senior program manager Justin Riservato.

“On Friday night, I’m hoping to chill with my wife – a laid back night after a hectic week. I’ll likely grab a burrito from Calexico (one of my favorite local spots) and go to the movies to see The Place Beyond The Pines.

Then Saturday we’re headed to FDR State Park for our annual Frisbee Golf and BBQ.  We do this every Spring to signify the start of the outdoor season! I do it with a bunch of friends that I have met during my summers in Fire Island growing up.

We’re ending the weekend by having a few people over to watch The Godfather II on Sunday evening. We had a party a month ago where we watched the first one, and one of my friends who had never seen it before really wants to find out what happens! I live in a loft in red hook with 17 foot ceilings, so we project it on the wall movie style.  Last month, we pulled out all the stops and got dressed up like gangsters.  I made meatballs and sauce — it was delicious.”
