Laura Kirar on how to turn a blank canvas of an room into an artfully cohesive design
Laura reveals her sculptor’s approach to design.
Studying sculpture and interior architecture at the Art Institute of Chicago, Laura Kirar forged an early path to her creative passion. Merging a mid-century-modern sensibility a sculptor’s unique sense of spatial relations, she has an artist’s eye for unexpected details and unique materials. Kirar has created residential and hospitality projects that fuse form and function with a custom-curated touch. This has led to her creation of product lines that proudly display a wide range of inspiration, channeling her passion for 1930s Italian, French vintage and modern pieces. Her designer product collections range in scope from a furniture and lighting collaboration with all Kohler Interior Group companies, to carpets for Tufenkian, and, most recently, home accessories with Arteriors.
