Amadi Carpets

Adorn the ground beneath you and warm up your entire room with these exotic, elegant rugs from the Middle East. Go a colorful route by choosing the Jester Hand-Knotted Rug, from Iran; its multicolored diamond pattern in hand-knotted wool creates a vibrant effect. Or select a more traditional antique look, like the soft floral pattern of the Farouz Flowers rug, from Afghanistan. While the styles vary, the commitment to long-lasting quality is the same—these are once-in-a-lifetime looks that you can pair with a variety of décor styles.

Backstory

For three generations the Ahmadi family of Amadi Carpets has been creating and importing elegant rugs from the Middle East, Northern Africa and Asia. Fifty years ago the company started producing a small batch of silk carpets woven in Afghanistan. Today, the company continues to produce its own line of hand-made rugs as well as offering dozens of bright ikats, signature Florence Broadhurst graphics (including her iconic Japanese floral pattern), silk tapestries, hand-knotted wool kilims and thoroughly modern lines like the psychedelic “Rug Star.” The vintage and antique rugs and textiles are especially striking, from beautifully weathered Moroccan rugs to brightly colored hand-embroidered silk suzanis from Turkey.
