Areaware Home Accessories

Based in New York City, Areaware manufactures clever, affordable decorative goods designed by leading American talents and the next generation of up-and-comers. Pick up David Weeks’ beechwood “Victor the Wild Boar” figurine, Josh Owen’s ingenious silicone doorstops, and Jonas Damon’s classic-with-a-twist Avion Cups. And that’s just a start: Fanciful watches and clocks, animal-shaped boxes and distorted candlesticks are also in the mix.

Backstory

You might not be able to afford a large piece of furniture by some of the top American designers working today, but Areaware offers you the chance to purchase a side table by them...or a pig-shaped bank...or a wooden gorilla toy with movable limbs. Based in New York City, the 5-year-old company manufactures and promotes clever, affordable decorative goods made by leading talents like Jason Miller, David Weeks, and Harry Allen. It also nurtures the next generation of local designers, providing some with their first commercial outlet.
