Backstory

Douglas Little, founder of D.L. & Co., calls himself a "modern alchemist and purveyor of curious goods," a title reflected in his luxurious, often Gothic home-decor designs. His signature collection of candles, diffusers and soaps come in sensual fragrances like Lady Rhubarb and Tincture of Winchester. Porcelain plates, silver apples and embossed stationery make up his collection of Art Nouveau-inspired objects, and his Modern Alchemy collection features perfumes that are packaged in ribboned pocket watches.
