Great wine begins in the vineyard. Many may minister this mantra, but veteran winemaker Phil Steinshcriber practices what he preaches. He lets his grapes reach peak ripeness in the Napa sun, harvests in the cool morning hours, and carefully sorts them to avoid crushing or bruising the fruit. Gently pressed and aged for 22 months in French oak barrels, the Cabernet Sauvignon grapes develop into a wine rich and jammy with red and black fruits.
