Super Sculpting II:
Tighten your seat-belts! Bar Method founder Burr Leonard puts the pedal to the metal in this 58-minute workout by combining her most aerobic variations, many of them never seen except in studios, with a fast-tracked pace. You’ll do five sets of thigh-work, one of them performed with the ball between your legs and two sets of seat exercises that simultaneously challenge both legs. During the abdominal section you’ll perform safe, beautiful-looking sequences that will set your abs on fire. Presenting the workout with Burr are Sharon Demko and Kiesha Ramey-Presner, both teachers at the Bar Method’s flagship studio in the San Francisco Marina, and Juan Barba, a teacher at the Bar Method studio in Burbank, California. In Kiesha’s words, Super Sculpting II is “intense but within reach for someone to work up to. The choreography is really fun, and Burr inspires you to do it.”
Change Your Body:
Burr guides you through a 54-minute total body workout that targets the key muscles involved in body reshaping. The workout includes free-weight exercises and push-ups to sculpt your arms, leg exercises and stretches performed at a portable bar or high-backed chair to sculpt and slim down your legs and hips (including the Bar Method’s famous bun-lifting “pretzel”), core work done on a mat, and a relaxing series of final stretches. Burr’s fellow performers, Catherine Wendel, Jen Hendrick and Jane Culliford are teachers and owners of Bar Method studios respectively in Chicago, New Jersey and New York.
Dancer's Body Advanced Workout:
Get ready! Actress, singer, dancer and master Bar Method teacher Marnie Alton delivers a no-holds-barred super-advanced Bar Method DVD workout that will slim down and sculpt your body quickly. In this 62 minute-long Bar Method class Marnie draws from the principles of dance to target the muscles that give your body a beautiful, defined, graceful appearance. Exercises include: “water-ski thigh-work,” ”arabesque,” and the Bar Method’s new abdominal exercise, “the calm". Marnie’s fellow performers are Denise Burchard, co-owner of the Portland Bar Method studio, and Marin Van Vleck, upcoming owner of a Dallas-area Bar Method studio, and Michael Lowery and Katelin Chesna, both long-time Bar Method teachers in Los Angeles. The Bar Method Accelerated Workout picks up the pace of the Bar Method class to maximize caloric burn both during and following this total body 56-minute workout. The class starts with a warm-up that includes free-weight exercises and push-ups and proceeds to challenge you with a series of bar exercises guaranteed to give your upper legs and buns a long, lean lifted, trimmed-down look. The second part of the class includes core sculpting, the Bar Method’s sexy “back-dancing” exercise, and a peaceful series of final stretches.
