Randolph Engineering
Randolph Engineering makes sunglasses for everyone from the U.S. military to Mad Men’s Don Draper. Randolph Engineering’s handmade Aviator, Concorde and Sportsman models are perennial favorites, built to exacting specifications in Randolph, Massachusetts. Accompanied by a lifetime guarantee, these sunglasses are the stylish workhorses of NASA astronauts, career pilots and people like designer Michael Bastian, who created a capsule collection of five frames for the label. Founded in 1972 by Polish engineers Jan Waszkiewicz and Stanley Zaleski, Randolph Engineering started out as an tool and machinery manufacturer for the optical trade; in 1982, the Massachusetts-based company began producing aviator sunglasses for the U.S. Air Force, then offered its wares to the general public. We're ever so glad they did.
