Onia knows that buying a swimsuit can be a drag. Boardshorts are often proportionally nightmarish, or there’s some dubious sort of dragon circling the thigh. Which is why, since 2010, the NY-based label has been spinning out trunks that (gasp!) fit well — like a pair of shorts you’d wear above water. Onia’s trademarks are comfortable Japanese and Spanish fabrics, a slim cut, lengths that end above (but not too high up) the knee, and a color palette filled with rich reds, deep blues, and subtle khakis, as well as some seriously bangin' Liberty prints from the legendary London art house.
