Abrams Research Survey identifies Gilt Groupe as a favorite industry destination for shopping online

New York, June 4, 2009. The Abrams Research survey of over 100 leaders and experts in the luxury industry, including fashion editors, designers, merchandisers, business writers and industry analysts, released on Wednesday June 3, cited Gilt Groupe as one of the top two destinations for online shopping. The report also cites Gilt Groupe as a resource for luxury information, as useful for browsing as for shopping. According to Abrams, Gilt Groupe inspired the most love in comments from their panel, i.e. “I am Obsessed with Gilt!!” Gilt Groupe also finds itself in the Best Brands list among illustrious luxury companies such as, Chanel, Louis Vuitton, Bulgari, Prada, and Gucci.

Abrams Research, a media strategy firm that connects business leaders with a global community of media professionals, released the Luxury Brands Survey and Report this week asking the question Has The Recession Killed The Luxury Industry? The survey’s conclusion finds that although the fundamentals of luxury remain the same, the parameter within which it is interacting with customers is changing. According to this survey Gilt Groupe, which provides access by invitation only to men’s, women’s and children’s coveted fashion and luxury brands at sample sale prices, was voted one of the best luxury sites for on-line shopping.
