Eik Braun Ottosen was inspired by childhood memories of playing in the snow in Greenland when he first thought up Rubber Duck as a young business student. He produced the line in 2005, single-handedly marketing and distributing the 600 pairs of boots he bought with his savings. His risk taking paid off: Now everyone from Paris Hilton to the Obama daughters has been spotted in the cozy, colorful footwear. Winter has met its match.
