Handcrafted lace-ups, loafers, and monkstraps from the under-the-radar British brand.

Headquartered in Northamptonshire — a region of the UK renowned for its top-quality footwear manufacturers — Loake has been producing premium leather men’s shoes and boots since 1880. Established by brothers Thomas, John and William Loake, this brand isn’t as vocal as some of its neighboring competitors — but what it lacks in volume, it makes up for in craftsmanship. Semi-brogue lace-ups and brogue Chelsea boots, chic Nappa and eel moccasins, classic tassel loafers, brogues and other styles are made from the finest hand-burnished leathers and feature leather linings and insoles, rubber soles, and Goodyear welt construction. A standard pair of Loake shoes requires the work of up to 130 skilled craftspeople and undergoes an intensive production process that can last up to eight weeks. Given the impeccably stylish results, we'd say that all the effort is worth it.
