Forget the '90s-era shoulder-pad look. The must-have suits and blazers of 2014 are a lot less boxy — and a lot more comfortable. Below you'll find an edited collection of some of our favorite examples, from brands like Boglioli, Barbera, and Corneliani (the look is nothing if not Italian inspired), plus shirts, trousers, shoes, and more complementary pieces. But first, click through the slideshow at left, and let NYC entrepreneur Lex Kendall show you three ways to embrace the look, and the low-key attitude that goes with it.
In 1995, Swedish designer Johan Lindeberg quit his job as creative director for Diesel to launch his own brand. The award-winning collections that resulted fused rock'n'roll elements with a more traditional vibe, and now encompass top-quality suiting, casual gear, and links-ready sportswear. The designer himself stepped down a few years back (he went on to launch BLK DNM), but J. Lindeberg is as vital as ever, producing expertly tailored men's suits, pants, blazers and sportscoats that fuse modern attitude with old school attention to detail.
