Shwood Sunglasses were born from a simple experiment with nature: one night, founder Eric Singer lopped off the branch of a neighbor’s Madrone tree, compelled by the wood’s beautiful orange hue. After some thought, he decided to immortalize his find by making a pair of wood sunglasses -- and Shwood Eyewear came to be. The wood frames come in styles like the square Govy and the Wayfarer-like Canby, and in a variety of wood grains like zebrawood and ash. Limited editions are made of stone (!) and special found woods, like a collaboration with Louisville Sluggers that are made from wood salvaged from baseball bats shattered during games around the world.
