You might recognize Akiko clothing designer Akiko Cook from Bravo’s Launch My Line reality show, on which she was a contestant in 2009. Cook didn’t win Launch that year, but she has definitely won our hearts with her exquisite collection of women’s jersey and silk tops and dresses. Belted, pleated, sleeveless or tied, maxi dress or mini, Akiko’s ultra-feminine, woven silk frocks feature gorgeous floral or art-inspired prints and distinctive details such as leather trim or embroidery. Based in Los Angeles, Cook founded her label in 2004 with a line of T-shirts and rapidly refocused her attention to designing the casual-sophisticated clothes that have made her a favorite among celebs such as Selena Gomez and Paris Hilton.
