Dismayed by the high prices of high-end clothing, designer Rachel Evans launched Minkpink in 2005 — creating an accessible and on-trend alternative for youth-minded fashionistas. Based in Australia, Minkpink draws inspiration from a wide range of eclectic sources to create its modern-vintage, on-trend and versatile women’s separates. Lush velvet coats reminiscent of guitar legend Jimi Hendrix’s patchwork wardrobe, Mod-style anoraks, swimwear and cut-off denim shorts reminiscent of 1970s Southern California, and ultra-feminine mini-dresses in polka-dot mint rayon or mismatched prints toe the line between punk and romantic. A favorite among pop divas such as Miley Cyrus and Rihanna, Minkpink is all about fun — not fussy — fashion.
