Consider the story of Rag & Bone founders David Neville and Marcus Wainwright, who created their NYC-based line of men’s and women’s jeans and wardrobe staples after failing to find clothing they wanted to wear. Despite lacking formal fashion training, the two men set about creating their own denim collection by consulting with experienced craftspeople and learning on the job — in the process creating one of the world's most prestigious jeans labels. Rag & Bone applies its unique combination of fine tailoring and classic workwear aesthetics to denim, dresses, leather jackets, tailored shirts, and vintage-inspired boots, shoes and accessories. Now part of the fashion elite, Neville and Wainwright have won numerous CFDA awards while continuing to expand their empire via partnerships with like-minded folks such as legendary NYC tailor Martin Greenfield, the Bollman Hat Factory, and illustrator Lana Chun.
