Handcrafted in Italy, Jerome C. Rousseau’s daring shoes and boots speak to women’s inner pop music diva. Inspired in the 1990s by Deee-Lite lead singer Lady Miss Kier and her platform Mary Janes, Rousseau began drawing women’s shoes while he was still a teenager. The Quebec-born designer went on to work with the likes of Matthew Williamson and Isabella Fiore before launching his own label in 2008. Rousseau’s glam and shiny designs include stilettos in hot pink and black, open-toe stacked platform sandals, patent leather ankle boots and iridescent booties, rust suede half-boots, and even a pair of glitter pumps inspired by the Muppets’ Miss Piggy. Based in Los Angeles, Rousseau and his footwear label have appeared in the pages of Vogue, Elle, and Harper's Bazaar, and have become favorites among Hollywood trend-setters such as Nicole Richie, Katie Holmes, and Drew Barrymore.
