Since Peter Som’s Spring 2001 debut, the label has been celebrated by industry leaders, earning nominations for the CFDA’s prestigious Swarovski Perry Ellis award and a finalist spot for the Vogue/CFDA fashion fund, among other honors. Som attended New York City’s Parsons School of Design before interning at Calvin Klein and Michael Kors and later designing for Bill Blass and Emanuel Ungaro. Today, his trademark look is described as “an aesthetic of unstudied elegance and refined sexiness that has brought a fresh point of view to modern American fashion.” Peter Som’s following includes a new generation of stylish celebrities and starlets, among them Scarlett Johansson, Claire Danes, Camilla Belle, Mandy Moore, Maggie Gyllenhaal and Ginnifer Goodwin.
