Gilt Return Policy

The following return policy applies to domestic orders only. For all international order information, please click here.

In order to provide you with quality designer pieces at the deepest discount possible, we try to be mindful of our other costs, including return processing. Additionally, due to our flash-sale model (that allows us to feature new sales and items everyday), we're unable to house some returned items in our warehouse.

This means that return eligibility varies by product-type. You can find a breakdown of our non-returnable items below. All other products are returnable. Please note that exceptions may apply, so you should always double check whether a particular item is returnable on its product page. Gilt reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to revise the list of non-returnable items at any time. 

Non-Returnable Items

  • Further reduced apparel, footwear and handbags
  • Intimates, underwear and swimwear
  • Non-sized products (belts, luxury accessories, jewelry, etc.)
  • Select Women's designer accessories & footwear (check the individual product page for the item's exact return policy)
  • Vintage products
  • Beauty products
  • Home products
  • Baby & Kids gear (diaper bags, carriers, etc.)
  • Baby & Kids furnishings and toys 

Returning Items via Mail 

When shipping a return to us, please follow these guidelines:

  • Eligible item(s) must be returned or exchanged within 30 days of the item's ship date (or as otherwise stated in the item's product page).
  • Items must be returned unused, unworn, unwashed and undamaged.
  • Return items in their original packaging with all tags attached. Packaging may include hangers, plastic wrap, boxes, and dust bags.

Once your item has been processed at our warehouse, you'll receive your indicated choice of a full refund or Gilt credits.

You can select your preferred form of refund when creating your return: 

Refund to the original form of payment (minus a $9.50 re-stocking fee): We'll refund your credit card in full minus the re-stocking fee

Gilt credits (Free): We'll credit your Gilt account for the full amount of purchase 

Process for Returning Items In-Store to Saks Fifth Avenue OFF 5TH Locations 

All returnable items less than $500 USD can be returned to Saks OFF 5TH Locations for a Saks OFF 5TH Merchandise Credit (redeemable in-store or online).

When returning to Saks OFF 5TH locations, please follow these guidelines:

  • Eligible item(s) must be returned or exchanged within 30 days of the item's ship date.
  • Items must be returned with their corresponding return slip, printed from the Gilt.com return section.
  • Items must be returned unused, unworn, unwashed and undamaged.
  • Return items in their original packaging with all tags attached. Packaging may include hangers, plastic wrap, boxes, and dust bags.
  • Items received damaged may not be returned to Saks OFF 5TH locations

Once a Saks OFF 5TH associate has processed your return, they will provide you with a Saks OFF 5TH Merchandise Credit (in card form) at the register. The Merchandise Credit does not expire and is eligible for in-store or online shopping on http://www.SaksOff5th.com. Saks OFF 5TH cannot process cash refunds for damaged or incorrect returns. 

Item Purchase Price < $500 USD
  • If your item did not arrive damaged or incorrect, then you can return it for a Saks OFF 5TH Merchandise Credit (redeemable online or in-store)
Item Purchase Price > $500 USD
  • Not eligible for return at Saks OFF 5TH locations

Exchanges

Love your purchase but need it in a different size? We're happy to exchange it if we still have the item in stock. To start an exchange, visit the "Returns & Exchanges" tab and select your item.

An exchange requires that you repurchase the item in your preferred size and send the original one back to us.

Once we receive the item to be exchanged, you'll be reimbursed for it to your original form of payment. Any applicable return shipping fee will also be waived.

You also have the option of returning the exchanged item (with its printed return slip) to a Saks Fifth Avenue OFF 5TH location. Once we've received the item, we'll credit or refund you as appropriate.
