Founded in 2009 by Peter Buchanan-Smith, Best Made Co. is crafts gear that’s informed by old-school values and aesthetics, and everything's designed to get a new generation of men and women back out in nature and working with their hands. It started with the brand's now-famous Best Made axes — they were designed with exacting attention to quality and detail, and then painted in a series of limited edition color ways that have been featured everywhere from fashion magazines to the Saatchi Gallery in London. Since then, the line has expanded to a full collection of lifestyle gear including unfinished axes, patches, maps, blankets, and even a first aid kit. Each piece passes through the brand’s workshop in Lower Manhattan, and each is made to last for ages, inspiring new projects and endeavors all the while.
Once in a while, we wind up with some items that haven't found their way to a good home. It’s tragic, we know. But don't worry, there’s a silver lining. We’re offering them to you — at steeper-than-ever discounts — so we can make way for new gear. We’ve only got a few of each item in stock, so move fast.
Our debut collection of gear from Best Made Co. features the brand’s famous axes — adorned with bold, bright colors and designs that make them as worthy of display as felling that old tree out back. But if you’re looking for something a little less weighty, we’ve got a selection of their smaller gear, too, like their solid brass ruler, red woolen blanket, and clever felt patches.
