About Closed

Closed clothing is designed for men, women and kids who cultivate European style and live on an international scale, with a fresh, effortless collection of sportswear, denim and accessories. Although today Closed is known as much for its cargo pants, on-trend bags and inimitable style, the company got its start with a more intense focus on denim and chinos. Founded in Italy in 1978, Closed is currently based in Germany. Closed rose to prominence in the late Seventies and Eighties with their signature pedal pushers (still a bestseller today, with more than 30 million pairs sold), a claim to inventing stone-washed denim and their unique take on jeans, the X-pockets – the first time a pair of jeans was made without the ordinary five pockets.
