About Creative Toyshop

Designed in Germany by cartoonist Boris Schimanski, Calafant toys began when he built a cardboard castle for his own children—soon, friends joined in and asked for more cardboard toys, and Calafant was born. Creative Toyshop’s founder Martina McConnon founded her brand in 2008 with the mission of making toys that are fun and encourage independent thinking and creativity—and the Calafant line of cardboard toys fit the bill: made from 75% recycled materials, they’re fun to build, sturdy, and easy to recycle.
