Maison Fabre was founded in 1924 in the famed glove-making capitol of Millau, a tiny French town with ample access to sheepskin leather. As one of the oldest family-run ateliers in southern France, Maison Fabre’s loyalty to tradition continues with brothers Jean-Marc and Olivier serving as the fourth-generation leaders behind the celebrated brand. The meticulously handmade gloves are lovingly constructed using “piqué anglais” (English stitch), a time-honored process that requires diligent patience and exception skill. Most members of the 11-person staff have been assembling the luxurious gloves for decades and are far into retirement age. Their dedication to artistry is exhibited in collaboration with prominent designers Ann Demeulemeester and Vanessa Bruno, as well as in the glossy, high-fashion pages of L’Officiel, V Magazine, and Vogue Nippon.
