About Mateo Bijoux

Mateo Bijoux founder and designer Mateo De La Harris hails from sunny Montego Bay, Jamaica, but his jewelry designs are more evocative of New York City’s busy streets than of island beaches. A firm believer in the beauty of urban grit, De La Harris draws inspiration from his adopted hometown as well as vintage clothing, nature, and a touch of the medieval. Mateo Bijoux’s signature pieces include the rope stanchion bracelet, a braided leather ring in black or bright blue; the sterling silver anchor necklace; the sleek, minimalist silver-nail and monkey wrench bracelets; the Exotica, a ring featuring a silvery claw grasping an onyx; and pendants in the shapes of skulls and shark teeth. Implements and iconography abound in the rest of Mateo Bijoux’s precisely detailed collection, which will add a rock-star flourish to any outfit.
