The designing duo behind What Goes Around Comes Around vintage fashion knows perhaps better than anyone that everything old becomes new again. After meeting in college, WGACA founders Gerard Maione and Seth Weisser graduated and became collectors — began traveling the world and amassing an impressive archive of antique clothing, jewelry, sunglasses and handbags by the likes of Chanel and Pucci. In time Maione and Weisser launched their own line of vintage-inspired clothing, which reflects the duo’s scholarly knowledge of garments and respect for authenticity. What Goes Around Comes Around’s aesthetic draws on influences from the 1880s to the 1980s, with a distinct rock 'n' roll edge. An industry secret no more, WGACA has outfitted everyone from Kanye West (spotted wearing the label’s vintage military jacket) to Nicole Kidman in its fabulous threads.
Ultra-luxe coats and accessories that never go out of style
Amazing vintage finds scouted by the experts at WGACA include a prized Valentino gown guaranteed to star at any fete, and '80s Jeanne Marc and Yves Saint Laurent pieces that can mingle skillfully with any 2010 wardrobe. Don’t miss the rare fashion gems by Chanel, Dior, and Hermes, either.
Vintage-clothing fans, here’s the best of both worlds. Pick up designs based on collectible originals like a military-style shirt and motocross-inspired leather jacket. Or go straight to the source and score an authentic Philadelphia policeman’s coat or a motorcycle jacket from the 1940s. Now that’s what we call an original look.
