Gilt Return Policy

At Gilt, we're committed to providing you with quality designer pieces at the deepest discount possible. To do so, we are mindful of other costs such as returns processing. Additionally, because we're refreshing our inventory daily to offer you a perennially refreshed selection, we're unable to house some returned items in our warehouse.  

This means we're unfortunately unable to accept returns for some items.

Eligibility varies by product type and country. We are currently able to accept returns on eligible items shipped to the U.S., Canada, EU, and China addresses. Orders shipped to other countries are considered final sale.

Non-Returnable Items

Below, you will find a breakdown of non-returnable items shipped to a U.S. location. All other products are returnable. Please note that exceptions may apply, so you should always check a particular item's product page to verify whether it's returnable. Gilt reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to revise the list of non-returnable items at any time.

Swimwear must be returned in its original condition, unworn and with original tags and sanitary liners. Final Sale (all items that end in .99)

  • Home products
  • Baby & Kids gear (diaper bags, carriers, etc.)
  • Baby & Kids furnishings and toys
  • Fine jewelry 

How to Create a Return or Exchange

International customers: visit our International FAQs for order information, including verifying whether your item is eligible and how to create a return.  

Return to Store  

All returnable items less than $500 USD can be returned to any U.S. Saks OFF 5TH location with Gilt's return slip, as long as the item was not shipped incorrectly or delivered damaged. To obtain a return slip:  

  • Get started at our returns section.
  • Select Saks OFF 5TH Instant Merchandise Credit or Original Form of Payment.
  • Follow the prompts to print your return slip.
  • Bring your item(s), along with the printed return slip, to a Saks OFF 5TH store. Saks OFF 5TH associates cannot process your return without the Gilt return slip.  

If you choose a Saks OFF 5TH Instant Merchandise Credit refund, the associate will provide you with a Saks OFF 5TH Merchandise Credit (in card form) at the register. The Merchandise Credit does not expire and is eligible for in-store use (U.S. and Canada locations) or online shopping on http://www.SaksOff5TH.com (for shipments to the U.S. only). Saks OFF 5TH cannot process refunds for items that were shipped incorrectly or delivered damaged.  

If you select an Original Form of Payment refund, your refund will be issued once Gilt has received and processed your return. Please allow up to 14 days for return shipment and processing. You will not be charged any return fees when you return to store. 

When returning to a U.S. Saks OFF 5TH location, please follow these guidelines:

  • Bring your item(s), along with the printed return slip. Saks OFF 5TH associates cannot process your return without the Gilt return slip.
  • Eligible item(s) must be returned within 30 days of the item's ship date.
  • Items must be returned unused, unworn, unwashed and undamaged.
  • Return items in their original packaging with all tags attached. Packaging may include hangers, plastic wrap, boxes, and dust bags.
  • Items received incorrect or damaged may not be returned to Saks OFF 5TH.
  • Only items shipped to a U.S. address are eligible for return.
  • Items can only be returned to Saks OFF 5TH locations in the U.S.  

Return by Mail

See "Non-Returnable Items" section above to determine if your item qualifies.  

  • Get started at our returns section.
  • Select Gilt Credits or Original Form of Payment (less a $9.50 restocking fee).
  • Follow the prompts to print your return slip and shipping label.
  • Mail your item(s) back with the return slip enclosed.

Your refund of Original Form of Payment (less a $9.50 restocking fee) or Gilt Credits will be issued once Gilt has received and processed your return. Please allow up to 14 days for processing.

When shipping a return by mail, please follow these guidelines:

  • Items must be returned unused, unworn, unwashed and undamaged.

Exchanges  

Love your purchase but need it in a different size? We're happy to exchange it if we have it in stock.

In order to make sure you get the item you want before it sells out, an exchange requires you to purchase the item again in your preferred size and return the original back to us. We will ship your new order right away. Once your return has been processed at our warehouse, we will reimburse you for the return according to your indicated choice of a refund, plus the original order shipping.

  • Get started at our returns & exchanges section.
  • Select "Exchange" and choose your preferred size.
  • Choose Original Form of Payment (less a $9.50 restocking fee) or Gilt Credit.
  • Follow the prompts to complete your exchange purchase.
  • Mail your item(s) back with the return slip enclosed.
